The notes from the London ISO meeting are very interesting.
I was interested to see that there is talk of allocating the namespace for part 4 from
www.dsdl.org. It may be appropriate to pick a new namespace for ISO Schematron:
who owns DSDL .org and what kind of persistence will it have? It would be useful
to use that domain name.
The reason I may change namespaces is first because if Part 4 follows Part 2 in not
providing a version number, then probably Schematron should to be consistant. (Though
I think it is not best practise.) A minor reason is that using the namespace of a Taiwanese
semi-government organization may rankle some mainland Chinese*
On another matter, there is question concerning when a CD for Schematron will be
released. I have been working on this and expected to have one for London, but
couldn't make it. I hope to have it finished early next week now.
Cheers

* I note that the PRC's
pretense of owning Taiwan struck again recently, with Taiwan blocked from seeking
WHO advice on SARS...finally some WHO people went anyway. It reminds me of that
big earthquake that happened when I was there: more than 4,000 people died and the PRC
blocked humanitarian aid and rescuers.)
