PROFITABLE TRAINER TRENDS by David Renham & Mark Foley Do you want to improve your chances on the flat this summer? Profitable Trainer Trends is an epic e-book of 401 pages written by the experienced author and Racing & Football Outlook trends’ columnist David Renham in conjunction with the highly regarded tipster Mark Foley (aka Statman). You may remember David Renham’s book on Draw Bias. This new  e-book is fully bookmarked for quick navigation (far quicker than a normal book). There are 20 of the leading trainers in this country examined in detail. Included in the price of £29.99 is a week’s access to the alerts service, a daily e-mail giving the key stats of the day.

Order now and your e-book will be emailed to you the next working day, directly by the authors who will be pleased to answer any questions.  Here is the foreword from Channel 4’s Tanya Stevenson:

FOREWORD - Profitable Trainer Trends is an in-depth study of 20 of the top trainers in this country. The information contained in this 400 page thesis looks a potential gold-mine for all punters. Numerous different angles are explored and analysed in great depth with not only key positive angles highlighted, but key negative ones also.It is refreshing to see not only win statistics, but some each way statistics also. This helps gives a better overall picture in terms of a trainer's record. For the more lazy reader, there is a useful summary section at the back highlighting each trainer's main positives and negatives. However, the beauty of this e-book is the ability for the reader to find specific sections at the flick of a mouse using the bookmark facility. For example, if you want to look at John Gosden's record in 3yo handicaps, with two clicks of a mouse you will be exactly at the right page in around 2 seconds. No flicking through hundreds of pages trying to find the exact place. Although still a traditionalist, I can see clear advantages to having an e-book rather than paperback or hardback. The best way to use this book would be as a reference book - having all these stats at your fingertips will help enormously when trying to analyse races or deciding upon bets. It is a must have for the flat season. Tanya Stevenson.

Introduction

The intention was to compile a truly comprehensive reference book which would enable the everyday punter to see at a glance the strengths and weaknesses of top flat trainers.

The 20 trainers chosen sent out 34% of all the turf winners that raced in 2006, which is a remarkable statistic when you consider over 1000 trainers sent out runners last year (1020 to be precise). Hence, concentrating on this select band of trainers, we truly believe that the book will be an invaluable tool to experienced and novice bettors alike. There were a few trainers that narrowly missed the list, but we needed a cut-off point and 20 seemed a sensible number. Over 400 pages later it is clear we made the right decision not include any more.

Trainers are creatures of habit and we have analysed their methods of working in key types of turf races since the year 2000 in as much detail as possible and some of the results have been truly illuminating. Each trainer's statistics are split into 2yo races, 3yo races, and all age races. Within those statistics, races are broken in race type - eg. maidens, handicaps, group races etc.  Whether you are a backer or a layer the book has something for everyone. For layers the market statistics for odds-on shots and short priced favourites should prove invaluable. For backers some of the little known facts that have come to light should help to pinpoint some decent priced winners. For example, you will find out which trainer was responsible for the following stat - in all age handicaps of 1m4f or longer this trainer's 3yo runners produced 68 wins from 254 (SR 26.8%) for a profit of £166.56 (ROI +65.6%).  Indeed, he managed 7 winning years out of 7 with such runners. However, the same trainer, in the same race type, with the same age group managed just 3 wins from 50 (SR 6.0%) in sprint races (5 & 6f) for a loss of £29.50 (59.0%). You will also find out about the trainer whose 2yo maidens produced just 5 wins from 104 (SR 4.8%) for a loss of £61.43 (ROI -59.9%) at Newmarket, but when combining his 2yo maiden runners at Haydock, Goodwood,Doncaster and York the same trainer produced 22 wins from 62 (SR 35.5%) for a decent profit of £69.13 (ROI +111.5%).

We would like to say a word of thanks to Flatstats, Proform Racing and RSB whose databases along with our own have allowed us to produce through meticulous cross checking as accurate a set of results as is possible.

Profitable Trainer Trends is just £29.99, emailed to you the next working day.
