Whilst I don't agree with some of the ways STX works, it did set me thinking
about what it is we are validating. It struck me that anything the datatypes
spec can be used to validate is already defined as a literal consisting of a
set of CharData codes. Therefore all we are ever doing is sting comparison!
Thinking along these lines led to the attached "Minimal DSDL Datatypes"
concept. Probably on the wrong track, but see what you think.
