[dsdl-discuss] Other use-cases for datatyping

Anyone who has access to the W3C members-only pages should be interested in
 http://www.w3.org/XML/Group/2002/02/Pballots.html
which is ballot questions from the XML Schemas WG.

Among these are items which Michael Sperberg-McQueen considers probable
non-goals. P-7.7 and P8-8 I will not list these, out of respect for confidentiality,
but it does make a nice list of things to consider if we want to minimize competition
with XML Schemas datatypes and provide increased coverage for people.

Also, I think it provides a nice insight into the kinds of problems that the
XML Schema WG wants XSD to solve. Reflecting on the same list
may help us come to different conclusions.

Cheers
Rick Jelliffe
