[dsdl-discuss] Framework: which level does datatyping occur?

In the previous email about my strawman, I suggested datayping should be
handled inside each validation language, giving a three-layer architecture

   Framework -> validators -> datatypers

But I immediately found an example where this is not good enough: in
WebDAV
    http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/draft-reschke-webdav-property-datatypes-latest.html
they use xsi: attributes directly for element validation.

This is a useful thing to have, and also fits in with providing datatyping without
structure validation, where someone wants to do that.

When we collate the list of requirements for DSDL, supporting datatyping of elements using
xsi: should be considered.

Cheers
Rick
