In the previous email about my strawman, I suggested datayping should be
handled inside each validation language, giving a three-layer architecture
Framework -> validators -> datatypers
But I immediately found an example where this is not good enough: in
WebDAV
http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/draft-reschke-webdav-property-datatypes-latest.html
they use xsi: attributes directly for element validation.
This is a useful thing to have, and also fits in with providing datatyping without
structure validation, where someone wants to do that.
When we collate the list of requirements for DSDL, supporting datatyping of elements using
xsi: should be considered.
