This http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/metadata/dcmi/xmlschema/
is a link to XML schemas recently released by the Dublin Core Metadata
Initiative.
IMO this is a v. serious usecase for consideration by DSDL-ers - in
particular, for interoperability between different parts of DSDL, when a
schema has been designed v. much with the specific features of one part in
mind.
I am a bit concerned about their reliance on what I would call specific
implementation details of W3C schema, rather than more generic features of
XML syntax - this is because this is an encoding in XML of data which is
expected to be v. widely used and widely interoperable, as well as v.
long-lived at times.
What do you think?
