First, I think this is an issue that should be discussed at the SC34
plenary (and I'll be interesed to see what Patrick Durusau has to say)
Second, I think that although SGML specifics should not hold DSDL back,
nevertheless there should be a well considered outline relationship between
what DSDL does and SGML, so that if required, DSDL could be fairly easily
extended in that direction - eg when (if) current debates on the use of
concurrent structures come to a consensus.
