Although NVDL is not only for RNG but also for DTDs, I agree that
the use of NVDL for invoking Schematron might not be very useful.

A big advantage of Schematron is to easily capture identity constraints
between different parts of documents. However, if NVDL is used, Schematron
validators will not have access to the entire document.

For the mixture of XHTML2 and XForms, we might want to use Part 10 to
invoke both Schematron (for capturing identity constraints) and NVDL.
NVDL in turn invokes RNG, DTD, or XSD. This may be a very good example
to demonstrate the power of the DSDL family.
