Jeni Tennison has produced a revision to her DTLL proposals for Part 5 of
DSDL that simplifies the language considerably. Could you please review the
revised text and send comments to the list (and to Jeni) as soon as
possible.
I will add a discussion of this document to the agenda for our next meeting,
but by then Jeni will have another member in her family, so the earlier we
can get comments to her the better as once the new child arrives her free
time will be even more limited than it is at present. (Jeni's daughter was
the star of last week's XML Summer School in Oxford, with the forthcoming
baby challenging John Chelsom's new arrival as the youngest ever summer
school attendee!)

Subject: DTLL 0.4
Hi there,
It's been a long time coming, but I've finally put up DTLL 0.4 at:
http://www.jenitennison.com/datatypes/DTLL.html
with RNC schema at:
http://www.jenitennison.com/datatypes/DTLL.rnc
I've tried to do a 80/20 cut, making it all much simpler (and hopefully
easier to implement). In particular, there aren't type hierarchies any
more. I've also added a couple of extended examples at the end of the
"spec".
Comments are welcome, particularly if you think there are still areas
that could be simplified and on the whole area of mapping and type
conversions.
Cheers,
Jeni
