Morning everyone. Seoul awaits us and its time to start planning our
activities in detail.
To allow us to include Francis, the editor of Part 9, in our discussions in
Seoul I am arranging for a Skype conference call. I'll bring some speakers
and a mike for my machine, and if we can overcome the feedback loop this
creates we can use these to have a group discussion in the WG1 meeting room
starting promptly at 09:00 on Wednesday 31st May (this will be about 10pm
for Francis back here in the UK).
However, experience has shown that using open speakers and mikes over long
delay transmissions gives problems. I would, therefore, ask you to bring
headsets with you in case this open discussion plan proves unworkable. If
that is the case we will switch from Skype, which has a five user conference
set up limit, to Gizmo, which currently seems to set no limits on the number
of participants. Could you, therefore, please arrange to download Gizmo from
the www.gizmoproject.com onto the computer you are bringing to Seoul so we
can set up a conference call on that if needs be. Thanks
Martin
