Folks,
I do not think that "SC 34 should send its comments to OASIS and have
OASIS handle the defects" help. If it is argued that OASIS is "JTC 1
designated maintenance group of the submitter in accordance with JTC 1
rules", I would like to know when and how the decision was made. If
needed, I will ask Japanese JTC1 to raise this issue at JTC1.
In the case of ODF, the situation is a bit different from RELAX NG. Now
that they have created ODF 1.1, they might want to address this issue
in ODF 1.1 (or later) versions only and do not bother to
submit later versions to JTC1.
I do want the ISO ODF to be fixed. Even if the OASIS ODF is fixed, I will
have to ignore the fix when I create the JIS ODF.
