[dsdl-discuss] Response to N0875

I don't know how many of you have read SC34 N0875
(http://www.jtc1sc34.org/repository/0875.htm), but it includes the following
statements you should be aware of:

>The latest three-year period for convenors nominally ends 2007-11-01 and
>according to 5.5 the actual end is at the following plenary meeting
>(currently scheduled for December 8-11, 2007 [N0864]).

>The Directives section 7.8 indicates that documents must be received by the
>Secretariat four weeks in advance of a meeting, so please forward
>nominations for working group chairmen before November 10, 2007. Please
>note requirements in the directives for endorsement.

I am hoping to retire next year and have no intention of standing for
another three year period as convenor to WG1. I shall, therefore, retire as
convenor at the end of the December meeting. If you wish to take over the
post you will need to be nominated by your national body by November 10.
