Ken
Could I please ask you to resubmit the failed ballots for the Amendments to
Part 2 and the Part 4 at the earliest possible moment.
I would be grateful if you could draw ITTFs attention to the reasons for
this further waste of WG1s time.

> Hello again from the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 34 Secretariat!

> I am now accepting delegate lists for the December 8-11, 2007 plenary in
> Kyoto, Japan. Even if you are not planning to send a delegation to the
> meeting, it would help me if you forwarded an empty delegate list
> indicating this. This way we can better make plans for the numbers of
> delegates expected. When sending in your list of accredited delegates,
> please indicate the one delegate to be considered "Head of Delegation"

> Regarding the Kyoto plenary meeting, details have now been received from
> Ecma, and posted as document N0908, regarding their invitation to SC34
> members to attend their meeting December 7 for liaison-related issues.
>
> Regarding the two ballots that closed in the last week, even with all of
> the reminders I sent out we still fell short of the required number of
> ballot responses for either ballot to have their results considered. In
> both cases the working group needs to decide what to do, though I
> anticipate they will just request another vote on each issue. P-members
> are reminded of their responsibility to vote. Every week I post the link
> below my signature line with the status of the open ballots and receipts
> of ballot responses. Since the recent influx of new P-members to our
> committee, not a single ballot has had a sufficient number of responses to
> be considered. This is delaying the work of our committee and causing a
> lot of extra work for me and for all national bodies regarding these extra
> votes.
>
> Note that I will acknowledge all ballots received, and if you do not
> receive an acknowledgement you can check the ballot link below to see if
> the reason was that my response was missing or that I never received your
> ballot.
>
> Remember that the ballot documents are found in the document repository
> whose index pages are linked from our home page. There are instructions
> at the bottom of the ballot documents regarding submitting the ballot
> responses back to my attention, in particular how to formulate the subject
> line of the email transmittal of the ballot response. The entries at the
> ballot link below also have links to the document entries, with a link
> there to the document repository.
